"Portrait of Leonardo: Kid Who Took Hollywood [VHS]" Overview

With the raging tide of hormones he stirred up in Titanic and Romeo and Juliet, it's not surprising that Leonardo DiCaprio has inspired a documentary. What is surprising is the content: a soundtrack that sounds like it was recorded by your local junior high school choir, a very unjuicy psychological profile of stardom and teen crushes by Dr. Joyce Brothers, and no original interview clips with the actor himself. All of the material is either rehashed bits of old interviews or Hollywood gossip columnists providing us with their take on the man of the hour. The only perk for fans, aside from being able to hit the rewind button to see that gorgeous face again and again, are the short clips from Leo's controversial movie, Don's Plum. Leo is trying to block the release of this unscripted indie film, so this may be the only glimpse you'll ever have of it. --Jhana Bach
